Nasscom company upset-over inter-state tax levy on e-commerce transactions
Indian programming industry's summit body National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has communicated solid dissatisfaction on a bill by Government of Gujarat to impose section charge on shoppers for interstate ecommerce exchanges.

As per Nasscom, such a move will posture critical business challenges for e-trade and logistics organizations and to retailers from outside of Gujarat, offering products to clients in the state. A comparable duty is being implemented in Assam, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Himachal and is proposed to be demanded in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
